How Plato Creates A New Argument Within The Human Of...

Plato creates a new argument within the borders of egoism and the Guardians. He questions how we know the motives of other people. The guardians must be completely selfless. So the answer to this to create the Guardians from birth to have this selfless attitude. People would take children at birth and control their conditions carefully in order to control and develop their wants and desires. It is like taking a clean slate and drawing whatever you want. Paul Hodapp proposes as simple recipe using five steps to the perfect Guardians. The first step is called the Pre-birth. I is what kind of cultural standing that is already possessed within the Republic prior to the birth of the child. This is where the Myth of the Metals begins. The myth develops as system of ranking with different levels (gold, silver, and bronze). Plato does state that he does not know whether or not this is a true story but he does conjecture that the motives are a product of causes. These causes are the classic N ature vs. Nurture. There are no exact amounts of how much each plays a role in the motives but it is known what each does. The nature part is considered to be the genes that are inherited and the nurture is the social environment that the child can be raised. Conceptually the Guardians would be naturally talented. Some people would possess the natural talent whereas there are others who try to work hard to achieve the same feats as the naturally talented. Step two is the birth of the child.Show MoreRelatedSources of Ethics20199 Words   |  81 PagesLegal System: 9 6- Codes of Conduct: 9 2.0- EXPLANATION OF THE SOURCES OF ETHICS: 10 2.1- RELIGION: 10 Teaching business ethics 12 2.11- Impact Of Religiosity: 13 2.12- Ethics Of Islam: 14 Nature of Islamic Ethics 17 The Human-Environment Relationship: 20 The Sustainable Care of Nature: 22 The Practice of Islamic Environmental Ethics: 22 2.14- Ethics And Other Religion: 25 2.2- GENETIC INHERITANCE: 31 2.21- LINKAGE OF GENETICS AND ETHICS: 32 Introduction:
